Joseph Marquette speaks to WKYC Channel 3 News about the Sunday morning hackings.

On Sunday morning (June 25, 2017), several Ohio government sites were hacked to display pro-ISIS messages from the group Team System DZ. Once officials were made aware of the issue, the affected sites were deactivated temporarily but appear to be restored as of Monday morning. Our President and Founder Joseph Marquette spoke to WKYC Channel 3 News about these attacks and had the following to say:

“It’s really more of something called ‘hacktivism’ where they’re just looking to promote their own cause, create some measure of fear, but if they were truly looking to steal information or data, odds are they were gonna do it in a much more subversive and secretive way,”

This is not the first time that Team System DZ has claimed credit for hacking a website.
